Warning: My Experience with Dr. Alexis Divinagracia & Clinical Divinagracia – Read Before Any Cosmetic, Skincare, or Surgical Procedure

I am sharing this to help others make an informed decision before choosing Dr. Alexis Divinagracia, the owner of Clinical Divinagracia, based in Cebu, Philippines. If you are considering rhinoplasty, Botox, fillers, facelifts, laser treatments, or skincare procedures, I strongly recommend conducting thorough research before booking an appointment.

TL;DR: My Experience with Clinical Divinagracia

Six months after my rhinoplasty (nose surgery), I still have a crooked nose, a dorsal hump, and asymmetrical nostrils. Despite our detailed pre-surgery discussions, the final outcome did not match what was initially discussed. The total cost was around 15–20% higher than the original quote. When I raised concerns, I was offered additional procedures at an extra cost instead of a proper resolution.

If you are looking for cosmetic treatments that meet your expectations, I suggest thoroughly researching and reading multiple patient reviews before making a decision.

Who is Dr. Alexis Divinagracia?

Dr. Alexis Divinagracia is an ENT (ear, nose, and throat) surgeon specializing in aesthetic and facial plastic procedures. She owns Clinical Divinagracia, which offers both surgical and non-surgical treatments, including:

  • Rhinoplasty (nose surgery)
  • Botox and dermal fillers
  • Facelifts and skin tightening
  • Laser treatments and skin rejuvenation
  • Chemical peels and facial aesthetics

She claims to have extensive experience and certifications. While the clinic promotes itself as an advanced medical aesthetics center, my personal experience made me question the transparency of pricing, the consistency of surgical results, and the level of post-procedure care provided.

My Experience: Unexpected Costs and Hidden Fees

I paid approximately 200,000 PHP (around $3,450 USD) in total for my nose job, which was 15–20% higher than the original estimate provided by Dr. Divinagracia.

The surgery was performed at The Hospital at Maayo in Mandaue, Philippines, a facility chosen by Dr. Divinagracia herself. When I asked about the unexpected price increase, she told me it was due to hospital fees. However, since she was the one who selected the hospital, I did not anticipate such a price adjustment.

Additionally, I was charged for post-surgery follow-up appointments, something that many surgeons typically include in the initial cost. This experience raised concerns about how pricing is communicated at Clinical Divinagracia.

Post-Surgery Results: My Concerns with the Outcome

Six months after my rhinoplasty, I noticed the following issues:

  • My nose was still crooked
  • The dorsal hump was not fully removed
  • My nostrils were asymmetrical

Before the surgery, Dr. Alexis Divinagracia assured me that my case was straightforward and that I would achieve a ski-slope-like nose bridge. However, the final result did not align with the expectations set during our discussions. Below, you can see my post-surgery pictures.

When I raised these concerns, I was presented with the option of undergoing additional surgeries at an extra cost rather than being offered a reasonable solution.

Final Thoughts: Do Your Research Before Booking Any Procedure

My experience with Dr. Alexis Divinagracia at Clinical Divinagracia made me question the transparency of pricing, the consistency of surgical results, and the level of post-procedure care provided. Based on my experience, I do not recommend her services.

I hope this post helps others make an informed decision before undergoing any procedure. Below are some common questions potential clients might have before booking an appointment:

  • Dr. Alexis Divinagracia reviews
  • Clinical Divinagracia complaints
  • Is Dr. Alexis Divinagracia a good doctor?
  • Best aesthetic clinics in Cebu, Philippines?
  • Clinical Divinagracia before and after results

Update 1: I have updated some of my earlier reviews and comments regarding the reported 40–45% price increase to reflect a more accurate figure of approximately 15–20%. English is not my native language, and upon reassessment, I realized my initial figure was incorrect. I will continue to amend any other posts and reviews containing the inaccurate figure as I find them and where the platform allows modification. Due to platform limitations, I may not be able to revise every older post immediately. Wherever possible, I will ensure my feedback remains accurate, fair, and reflective of my actual experience. My disappointment remains unchanged—the price increase was still unexpected, and the lack of clear upfront pricing was frustrating.

While some earlier reviews may have contained strong or harsh language, I want to make it clear that my intent was never to defame Dr. Alexis Divinagracia or cause her any personal harm. All my comments and reviews (published on all platforms) are based solely on my direct, subjective experience and are expressed as personal opinion. They are shared in good faith with the intention of informing prospective patients so they can make their own decisions. My opinion of the outcome remains negative—I continue to feel unsatisfied with the aesthetic result of my procedure, including what I perceive as a crooked nose, a visible dorsal hump, and asymmetrical nostrils.

Update 2: I would like to clarify something about the price increase, since my reviews may not have been fully clear. The additional charges mostly came from The Hospital at Maayo, not from Dr. Divinagracia personally. To her credit, the amount she initially provided (as the hospital's charge) was only an estimate, and when she noticed the hospital’s billing was higher, she actually tried to negotiate with the hospital and was able to secure some reduction (not much though).

That said, my concern remains regarding the unexpected price increase: From the beginning, our understanding was that we would be open and frank with each other. I told Dr. Divinagracia that I fully trusted her judgment throughout the procedure. She presented me with three hospital options and recommended The Hospital at Maayo, explaining that she worked there often and felt confident giving me an estimate based on that.

I am making this clarification in good faith, so there is no misunderstanding that the unexpected price increase was charged on Dr. Divinagracia’s behalf.

Comments

  1. Edit/Clarification: I want to clarify a detail regarding the cost increase I mentioned in my original post. The hospital fee alone ended up being around 45% higher than what was originally estimated. However, when factoring in the total cost of the procedure, the overall increase was closer to 15-20%. Since English is not my first language, I now realize my wording may have been unclear, and I want to ensure my experience is accurately represented.

I’m adding this clarification here instead of editing the original post because I prefer to keep the original text intact while still providing full transparency. My disappointment remains unchanged—this was an unexpected price increase, and the lack of clear upfront pricing was frustrating. I’m leaving my reviews on Facebook and Google as they are, mainly because I don’t want to risk them being removed, but I’m making this correction here in good faith to ensure accuracy.

  2. I want to add an additional clarification regarding my review of Dr. Alexis Divinagracia to ensure that my statements are accurately understood.

In some of my reviews, I mentioned that Dr. Divinagracia "gaslighted" me when I brought up my concerns post-surgery. To clarify, I meant that she later denied making certain verbal assurances that were discussed before the procedure. My frustration stems from feeling that what was verbally assured to me did not align with the outcome.

Additionally, my review reflects my personal experience and opinions. I am sharing it to inform others who may be considering surgery with this doctor. I stand by my experience and dissatisfaction with the outcome, but I also recognize that others may have different experiences.

I am posting this clarification to ensure full transparency and to reinforce that my review is based on my own perspective and the events as I personally experienced them.
